To Members, Clients and Friends of e-Spot

After 3.5 years, it is a sad and necessary decision for me to close the entrepreneurial hub of e-Spot. In our “season finale” Spotted Affair event on Thursday, March 28th, I am grateful to have had the chance to relive some awesome moments of the many entrepreneurial births, lives and journeys that e-Spot had witnessed and supported during its existence at 353 Iroquois Shore Road. The spot was a safe haven, a spot where many called "home" and was known as a place that instilled confidence and competence for solopreneurs and was a space for small business meetings and non-profit groups to gather.

For me, it started as a place for evolution and so it seems, the time for another evolution has come.

The closing of e-Spot has come about for me from some very critical truths about business, relationships and personal leadership. I have learned three very important lessons – stop doing what you don't love, do only what you love and take care of yourself. As e-Spot evolved into a facility rental business rather than purely a membership community for conscious entrepreneurs AND as I spent less and less time coaching, speaking and facilitating, unfortunately, my health deteriorated in the process. In early March, I received news and strong advice from my cardiologist to simplify my life which instigated the close of this location.

So what is "e" without the "spot"?
Before e-Spot was created, the "e" alone stands for entrepreneur. That has not changed. We still stand for the community – an incredible community of entrepreneurs who want to SHOW UP, LEAD BIG, and DO GOOD in the world.

It’s about the entrepreneurial spirit of innovation and risk taking, of courageous conversations and brave decision-making, of honouring and truly respecting the people we choose to work alongside with, and of agility and possibility.

It's about everything that is written in the e-Spot manifesto.

And... it will look different from now on.

The next evolution of "e" without the "spot" is still being created. It will be less space driven and more focused on personal leadership and business results. For now, I will focus on coaching, speaking and team facilitation under the banner "e – everything entrepreneur" and will be undergoing surgery and recovery in the fall.

In the meantime, please take my learnings with you – STOP doing what you don't love, ONLY do what you do love and take care of yourself.

With love and gratitude, Grace
